Plain Satin Mini BrewDrivers

Happy Wednesday Folks!

I have a bunch of plain satin finished Mini BrewDrivers completed. This is the pendant sized version in the BrewDriver series. I will make various color anodized ones when I get the remaining pieces done in a few days but for now I thought I would start with some plain satin finished ones.

These are 2 inches long and are turned from the same 1/2" diameter solid titanium bar stock that the original BrewDrivers are made of. They open bottles just fine, no problem with leverage.

The Mini BrewDriver pendants are $65 each plus shipping and they come with a 24" length of bead chain. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Cara Recovery BIOS ke HP Pavilion DV4, CQ40 dan C700

Kemarin saya baru saja nggarap Compaq CQ40-717TU yang MATI dengan lampu led power dan wifi nyala. Sebelumnya saya juga sudah pernah nggarap Compaq CQ40-653TU yang MATI juga dengan kerusakan yang sama. Saya sudah mencoba dan berhasil semua……

Matinya laptop CQ40 ini disebabkan oleh downgrade BIOS yang mengalami kegagalan sehingga terjadi kerusakan di BIOS laptopnya. Dan akibatnya Laptop Mati tidak keluar tampilan dengan led power dan wifi tetep menyala. Jangan Panik dulu,…. Jika anda mengalami hal ini, tapi bagaimanapun saya dulu juga panik ……. Waduh… gimana ya…..?

OK, langsung saja ke pokok permasalahan,

Cara Recovery BIOS ke HP Pavilion DV4, CQ40 dan C700 :

1. Download BIOS di situs resminya. PENTING : BIOS harus sama persis, misalnya CQ40-717TU, berarti anda harus download BIOS CQ40-717TU. Dan CQ40-717TU tidak sama dengan CQ40-717TX. Kalo untuk laptop CQ40 anda dapat mendownloadnya di SINI,

Biasanya judul filenya "WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS - Microsoft Windows-Based"

2. Siapkan Flasdisk kosong, kalo kemarin saya menggunakan flashdisk 2Gb Kingston. Ingat kosngkan dulu flashdisk anda agar prosesnya nanti berjalan lancar.

3. Extract file BIOS hasil download yang berupa .exe dengan menggunakan program WinRar atau 7ZIP.

4. Cari file yang berekstensi .FD misalnya 30F7F04.FD, pilih salah satu (biasanya ada 4 file dengan ekstensi .FD), misalnya saya memilih 30F7F04.FD. Kemudian sisakan 4 huruf pertama yaitu 30F7 kemudian tambahi dengan ekstensi . BIN sehingga menjadi 30F7.BIN.

5. Jadi file 30F7F04.FD menjadi 30F7.BIN, kemudian simpan file 30F7.BIN itu ke flashdisk.

6. Lepaskan CHARGER dan BATERAI dari laptop. Ingat baterai harus di lepas.

7. Colokkan flashdisk yg ada file xxxx.BIN

8. Tekan dan tahan tombol keyboard Windows dan B

9. Pasang Charger, tombol Windows dan B jangan di lepas dulu.

10. Nyalakan laptop dengan menekan tombol power Laptop

11. Tahan tombol windows dan B sampai terdengar bunyi “ beep ”, kemudian lepaskan kedua tombol itu. Laptop secara otomatis mencari BIOS asli ini ditandai dengan led flashdisk yg kedip2x.

12. Bunyi beep akan terdengar berulang tiap 2 detik, biarkan saja, laptop akan mati sendiri secara otomatis setelah selesai merestore / merecovery BIOS.

13. Selesai. Untuk mencobanya nyalakan laptop seperti biasanya dengan hanya menekan tombol powernya.

14. jika anda mengalami kegagalan, coba lagi dan coba dengan flashdisk yang lain, ingat…… flashdisk harus kosong untuk memudahkan laptop mencari file BIOS yang akan di restore atau direcovery.

Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy Revisited

About a year ago in this blog I described PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy as an exciting and potentially effective new treatment for injuries to tendons and ligaments. Apparently athletes and other patients were asking for the treatment, even though insurance companies were reluctant to pay for it. I asked, “Does it work?” and mentioned that several clinical trials were currently underway to find out.

The results of several of the clinical trials are now in, and the results are not encouraging. In one study of patients with Achilles tendon injuries, PRP therapy was no more effective than an injection of saline (the control). In another study of tennis elbow, PRP therapy appeared to be slightly more effective than injections of steroids (the standard treatment these days). However, some scientists have criticized the tennis elbow study for not having a control group. Steroid injections are known to reduce pain in the short-term but to slow healing in the long-term. So the jury is still out on whether PRP therapy for tennis elbow is actually better than no treatment at all.

No doubt, studies with other tendon/ligament injuries using different study protocols will be done in the future. In the meantime, enthusiasm for PRP therapy has cooled just a little.

You can use the Gradient Presets to change the color and tone of a color photo in Photoshop. It is very simple to do.

The Latest News

Hopefully y'all haven't gone away and forgotten about me...I'm working hard to get things going again! :) This is kind of like last August if you some of you remember that period. I had a lot of stuff in process but nothing finished for several weeks. But then I was able to keep sales going with some regularity for awhile.

The Mini BrewDrivers will be done later this week. No doubt I will have several sales with various finishes. See pic below.

I'm working on the Candy Bar tool which I think I may rename the Wroach. It's a 3.5" Mini Bug Out Bar kind of thing with several wrench openings, o2 tank wrench as the lanyard hole and o ring grips. Approximately 3-4 weeks away on those. They are titanium.

And I have another design finalized yesterday called the Flea and that one is a pendant type tool but it has O2 tank wrench, 1/4 hex, bottle opener and pry tip. Kind of a radically redesigned Chigger, similarly sized, and those will be in thick steel to start. There are three variations of that design. 4-5 weeks away on those.

SAE WingNuts are also in process, 2 weeks away on those.

Rules are fun to break

When I say "don't do this", or "do this", I should probably say "don't do this on accident". But, if you do it on purpose, that's another story. you can pretty much do anything you want if you do it on purpose. Here I have lots of tangents and a collar that breaks the rule I just gave.

Brightening eyes

Should you need to brighten the eyes without affecting the rest of the image, you can use the Pen Tool and Levels to do so. You can also use the Magnetic Lasso to select.

Cutting out image from background

When you need to cut out an image from the background, the test is to have clean edges. You can achieve this with the Pen Tool. Some have a horror of the Pen Tool. Therefore let me show you how to do it with the Magnetic Lasso, one of the basic tools and also how to eliminate errors in edge selection.

I will be using this free stock image. I will cut out the girl cleanly from the image with the lowly Magnetic Lasso.

Carbon Dioxide and Forest Growth

Plants require carbon dioxide (CO2) for growth. How are they affected by the rise in atmospheric CO2 that occurred over the last century, as a result of human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels? Do plants use more CO2 (i.e, grow faster) when more CO2 is available?

There is some evidence that they may. A study of 55 forest plots in the Eastern United States reveals that the tree biomass is increasing at a faster rate now than in several decades past. After factoring out other known factors, the most likely causes appear to be increases in atmospheric CO2 and in temperature. This may be good news, for it means that as the atmospheric CO2 rises, some of the excess CO2 may naturally be stored in Earth's forest biomass. This could be slowing the rate of rise of CO2 (and global warming) that would otherwise occur.

Cracked Glass in Photoshop

Creating a cracked glass effect in photoshop is not very difficult to do if you use a Texture. You also need to use a Displacement Map. I will show you how to make it.

Skema 5 Band Equalizer dengan ic LA3600

IC LA3600 ini cukup murah dan mudah ditemukan di pasaran, juga banyak tape deck/compo menggunakan ic ini, suara yg dihasilkan juga jernih.
Perlu diketahui bahwa untuk tape deck dan tape compo ada sedikit perbedaan pada komponennya, yaitu pada beberapa kapasitor. Sebenarnya bisa saja kita gunakan komponen tape compo pada tape deck atau sebaliknya, cuma suaranya kurang memuaskan.

Cara Servis Epson C90, T10, T11, T20 Catrdige Tidak Terdeteksi

Berikut ini saya akan mencoba berbagi mengenai printer epson Epson C90, T10, T11, T20, dan mungkin jenis TX yang tidak mendeteksi catridge. Cirinya walaupun printer epson sudah direset, tapi tetep saja lampu merah menyala terus. dan itu menandakan bahwa Catridge tidak terdeteksi.


Memang ada beberapa kemungkinan, Epson Catrdige Tidak Terdeteksi :

1. Catridge tidak pas terpasang di rumah catridge, caranya Lepas catridge dan pasang kembali

2. Pin catridge kotor. caranya : coba bersihkan dengan penghapus pensil di bagian yg saya kasih panah ini. Kalau diperlukan kerik aja dg menggunakan cutter. Tapi ngeriknya tipis aja...



3. catridge Epson memang rusak, berarti harus diganti

4. Board Printer Epson rusak. Lha tapi kalo boardnya yang rusak caranya gimana yaa....?

Berikut Cara Servis Epson C90, T10, T11, T20 Catrdige Tidak Terdeteksi :

1. Bongkar printer dan ambil boardnya. Cara menbongkar printer tidak akan saya ulas disini, Anda dapat membacanya di posting ini

2. Perhatikan gambar berikut ini, dibagian yg saya lingkari itu adalah "fuse atau sekring " kecil. simbolnya F, dan itulah penyebab kenapa catridge epson tidak terdeksi walaupun sudah diganti dengan catridge yang baru. jadi sekringnya putus. Anda dapat mengeceknya dengan menggunakan Multitester dengan OHMmeternya, kalo nggak menunjuk angka nol berarti sekring putus.


3. Ganti sekring yg putus itu dengan sekring yang masih OK anda dapat mencarinya di board komputer yang rusak. Atau kalo anda susah mencari, diakali aja dengan menggantinya pake kabel satu serabut saja (langsung dihubungkan / di jumper ). Tapi cara ini beresiko kalo terjadi konslet ulang.

4. Pasang kembali boardnya dan silahkan dicoba.

Kerusakan catridge epson tidak terdeteksi dengan ciri lampu merah menyala terus ini disebabkan oleh :
1. Konsletnya rumah catridge karena tinta yang bocor.
2. Kotoran dan debu yang lembab.
3. Faktor lainnya......

What does "OHC" mean?

In the last two blog posts we discussed OHV and the advantages of OHV.  Today we will discuss OHC, what OHC means, and what OHC can do for you.

Some of today's lawn mower engine manufacturers are coming out with OHC engines.  There are an increasing number of OHC engines hitting the power equipment market.  This is not all good and it definitely is not all bad.

What does OHC mean?
OHC simply means that the camshaft is positioned in the head rather than in the block.  As we discussed in the previous posts, the L-Head and OHV engines both have the camshaft positioned in the block.

Here are several designations you may see on engines and engine materials and what each one means:

1. OHC (Over Head Camshaft).  This means that the camshaft is positioned in the cylinder head rather than in the block.  If the only designation is "OHC", it generally means that the engine has only a single camshaft.
   
2. SOHC (Single Over Head Camshaft).  Once again, this means that the camshaft is positioned in the cylinder head rather than in the block.  The "S" part of the designation simply means that the engine has only a single camshaft.
3. DOHC (Dual Over Head Camshaft).  Once again, this means that the camshaft is positioned in the cylinder head rather than in the block.  The "D" part of the designation simply means that the engine has two or "dual" camshafts positioned in the cylinder head.

How to drawing an anime character

I would do this for a few days before I felt comfortable with the character. Then, I would try to leave the character "rougher" I would try to get pretty close to the finish drawing in just 1 or 2 stages. I like more spontaneous drawings, but some times you have to flip it back and forth and be able to draw the character very clean in order to get the spontaneous drawings to look nice.

Smoking and Breast Sagging

A couple of years ago a plastic surgeon and his colleagues did a study in which they interviewed 132 women who had requested breast lift surgery or breast augmentation. The goal of the interviews was to try to determine whether there was any truth to the commonly held belief that breast-feeding causes breast sagging later in life.

The results showed no difference in the degree of breast ptosis (sagging) between women who had breastfed and those who had not. However, factors that did correlate with breast sagging included the woman’s age, how many pregnancies she had had, and whether she had smoked.

Yes, you read that right - smoking. It is well known that smoking damages elastin, the protein fibers in skin responsible for skin’s youthful appearance and elasticity. That’s why chronic smokers are much more likely to have wrinkled skin than non-smokers. It would not be much of a stretch (no pun intended) to hypothesize that healthy elastin supports breast tissue and helps maintain breast shape.
